Welcome to SLAM, a Microsoft Research Community Technologies Group project, developed in conjunction with the Microsoft Photo and Imaging eXperience (PIX) team.  SLAM is prototype social software for communicating and sharing with groups of friends and family, primarily on mobile devices.  SLAM enables real-time communication, location awareness and photo-sharing.

In order to use Slam, you must either install the Windows Mobile application or be invited to a Slam group by someone who has done so.  Slam will run on any Windows Mobile device.  You can participate as an SMS-only user, but only after being invited by a Windows Mobile device user.
